Cools down a 10 x 10 space – It definitely helps cool down a 10 x 10 space. Keep an eye on the water level. Use a flashlight or shine your phone light on the water level so you can see it better. Gently shake the tower to make sure you know where your water level is at.

6 Months bad motor – 6 months later I take the tray out, to give it a nice cleaning, for the first time following their instructions directly and the motor for the water stopped working. Now I have a ~$130 fan that swivels. Save your money.

A Summer Must – I love this fan! It’s got great speeds, super quiet, and can easily cool a room. The only drawback is the front screen. It displays the temperature of the room, which is great. Once the fan has been on 10 or so minutes, it disappears which is great for nighttime sleep so it’s not bright. However if you don’t run the fan, the LED is stays on permanently and is just crazy bright at night so I have to put a piece of clothing over it before I go to sleep when we don’t run it.

Pretty decent unit to cool a room – This is one day after receiving the little tower swamp cooler and I will say, I am impressed. When my home got built (it’s in a cookie cutter subdivision) builders skimped on making this house as much as possible. One of the things they did was put up a false wall in the attic that separates my room (above the garage) from the rest of the house. When they did this, they blew zero insulation in the attic, making my room get extremely hot in summer and cool in winter. On top of that there is one wall that has zero insulation. I cut the false wall, and drug batting in to help alleviate the problem. While it helps, it doesn’t keep it the same as the rest of the house. So yesterday after getting the unit together, I set it up in my room and the tower showed 81°. After running it for about 3 hours without the ice packs, as they were still freezing, I walked into a 72° room, which is consistent with the rest of the house. I slept like a rock. My wife did say that the fan was a little noisy, but I had it on the middle fan speed. I didn’t notice it at all. I’m going to chalk it up as a win.
