It’s just basically a fan. – It does not cool a room (even a small small room). With or without ice, it does not cool a room. Only if you put your face or body right in front of it, then you feel faintly cold air.

Ok, but it’s no air conditioner. – I got these for my kids rooms. We have 2 huge standing A/C units, one downstairs and one in the master upstairs. And all bedrooms and the living room have ceiling fans. But the upstairs gets so hot. The kids rooms really aren’t that big so I thought these little units along with the ceiling fan and a box fan in each kids room should keep it cool. But even packing it with ice and super cold water, it’s really still just a glorified fan. Kids fill it several times a day and just put it right in their face. Works ok but their rooms are still a furnace.

Great for small area or to take with you – This summer has been hot! For some reason my daughters room is the hottest in the house, and this small AC has been a great addition to her room during nighttime! It’s just the right size and is not too loud. We even took it with us on a trip where we stayed in an airbnb that did not have AC- it worked great!

Not an air conditioner – I like that it’s portable and cute with the different color lights, but it doesn’t feel like an ac as described. Very easy to use and it didn’t cost a lot. I put ice cubes and water in it but no mist comes out. It’s literally just a fan. I’m visiting my son in Cali and his ac doesn’t reach the spare room so I ordered this. I’ll give it a day or two and see if anything changes. If not I’m returning it.
