Great unit so far! – We purchased 2 of these units, the second one came damaged in shipping. I reached out to Amazon and could get a full refund if i sent the whole unit back. I wish there was an option to get the broken pieces replaced, sending the whole unit back isn’t necessary. So now i get to order parts on the website at another expense. The wifi pairing is very difficult to connect when setting up, but once it’s done, it’s a great feature to have when you can turn it on and off when you’re not home. The positive part is that the unit seems very nice after 2 weeks of using them, the AC is ice cold!

Causes negative pressure in apartment. – So, I only used this for a couple of days then I had to get rid of it buy selling it to a friend. We have a gas hot water heater it our apartment and I didn’t know at the time of purchase that single hose AC units cause a negative pressure in the dwelling and can cause your pilot light in your gas hot water heater to go out. I had to buy another AC unit with dual hoses which does not do that. Other than that it worked great and my friend is loving it now. So, keep this in mind when looking for a unit for your place.

Well built portable AC, not super fancy but good quality – Bought this for our family room not to have to turn on AC that frequently. Our Family room is around 500sqf. This one easily handles it. Yet not sure about the cost difference but the fact that our house is around 2500sqf, I’d say it’s easier to heat up or cool down 500sqf compared to 2500sqf.

Wifi/ app issues – Unit will not connect to wifi or the app I spent days trying to connect the unit to wifi and the Ukoke app. Ukoke customer service said there was an error on their end that their “engineers were working on”. They email me saying the issue was fixed and to try again. I spent a couple more days trying to connect and conversing with their customer service, who were beyond unhelpful. Their level of assistance was make sure you’re putting in your correct wifi password and to connect to 2.4G network. They repeated those instructions in 4 successive emails before I gave up. The ac may actually work but I’m returning it because it does not work as advertised since there’s no control through their app or Alexa.
